This is more like a nail file rather than a foot file Jul 11, 2008 The Checi File Model 502 is a small nail file with two sides. One side is course. The other side is medium. The texture is a metallic abrasive grit surface. It works well to abrade down finger nails quickly. It can also be used to abrade down callouses. However, since I fortunately do not have have them, I just use it on my finger and toe nails. The abrasive grit surface is superior to those old fashion metal nail files with diagonal hatching. I found that the diagonal hatching tend to cause the filing motion to go astride thus upsetting the smoothing process. With the abrasive grit, you get much better control such as with an emery board.
